MLVC Multilayer chip varistors from Eaton

        download video

        1:10

Eaton Bussmann series MLVC multilayer varistors provide reliable ESD, inductive switching and EFT protection in a compact, surface mount package ideal for I/O interfaces and other sensitive components in consumer electronics, computing devices, energy, medical, and industrial applications. The MLVC series expands on Eaton’s existing compact MLVA and low capacitance MLVB offerings, now providing coverage for working voltages from 5.5 VDC to 200 VDC. The standard MLVC series is offered in package sizes from 0402 to 1206 and is ideal for ESD protection, while the high energy variants of the MLVC series range in size from 0805 to 4032 and can absorb up to 11 J to provide protection for devices subjected to higher energy transients seen in inductive switching and EFT. The expanded MLV offering combined with Eaton’s other circuit protection devices provides designers a complete portfolio for overcurrent and overvoltage protection. http://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/catalog/electronic-components/mlv-overvoltage-protection.html
