EXL High Performance Pressed Powder Inductors
1:08
Eaton EXL1V next generation pressed powder inductors provide higher power density, higher current ratings, and better thermal performance than traditional pressed power inductors, enabling smaller and more efficient designs in computing, industrial, energy, and medical applications. EXL1V inductors use the latest high efficiency magnetic materials and advanced manufacturing processes that enable up to 30% higher current ratings and up to 50% lower DCR in the same package size. The inductors are rated to carry up to 28A, with 4 footprints and package heights ranging from 2mm to 7mm. The pressed powder construction provides a soft saturation characteristic, magnetic shielding for low EMI, and stability over a wide temperature range. The EXL1V inductors use bottom exit SMT terminals, which shrinks the PCB area while allowing for larger terminals that provide improved thermal and mechanical performance.
