It's Time to Upgrade to xDetect

#Fire #FirePanel #Cybersecurity A modern and innovative cybersecure panel, xDetect, succeeds the soon-to-be-obsolete CF, DF, FX and R series addressable fire panels. It’s time for customers to upgrade their systems to xDetect panels, in a painless transition which has no impact on existing peripherals. Eaton’s CF2000, DF2000 and FX2000 fire alarm panels and spare parts are unavailable to order as of the 30th of April 2025. From the 31st of December 2025, the CF1100, CF1200, CF3000, DF6000, DF6100, DF61002, R3000, R6000, FX6000, FX6100 and FX61002 will also be retired. All technical support and training will be discontinued from the end of 2027. xDetect is the natural successor to Eaton’s legacy panels, offering a familiar experience with the same great features and compatibility. Crucially, however, in line with the evolving landscape around cyber security, xDetect also provides a solution for new legislation at a time when building owners are demanding more from their fire systems. Fire protection and cyber protection are now equally important, and xDetect, which features industry-leading, rigorously tested communication protocols, offers building owners peace of mind in both aspects. Better yet, xDetect is more than just a solution to cybersecurity vulnerabilities; xDetect is a modern, modular solution flexible to the growth of your building, creating a futureproof and cost-effective addressable fire alarm system. Its colour-coded touchscreen is intuitive and easy to use, and its readiness to act in a loop-based network offers faults-resilient communication at half the cost of traditional topologies. To upgrade, connect xDetect to an existing network and use our programming tool, xDetectWorks, to transfer legacy configuration data, streamlining the installation. Once done, simply swap out the legacy panels for xDetect, a device compatible with both radial and loop topologies.
